Point Table for 8th Scale Off-Road

This is as best as I could eyeball your names, nicknames, alias, aka, etc. with the membership list I got from Marine Parade Community Club. You can check it yourself from the "Membership" link at the right side menu of the "Home" of this series of Blog entries.

If I've missed anyone you know, please submit a comment below and I will correct it for you.

I know that Chris Sze's expiry was 31 March, so technically he gets no points for this event. However, if he renews his membership within the 3 month grace period accorded to all members by Marine Parade Community Club, his points stays, else I'll remove him and bump the points up for the rest below him.

2007 Singapore RCMC National Championship

The idea of having a local ranking series was mooted by members and discussed at the Management Committee meeting. So this is what we finalised. It is surely not perfect, but to be fair, we will stick with it, gather feedback from RCMC members and then refine it for the next round.

General and simple rules would include:

  1. 85 points shall be awarded to the top finisher of each event, 83 points to second, 82 points to third and 1 point less down the rank list.

  2. The respective 2007 Singapore Invitational Challenge event shall be a compulsory point event for RCMC members.

  3. The best 3 of the remaining 4 event points will be used to total up for the ranking list.

  4. In the event of clement weather and of if the event is cancelled due to whatever reason, we will use the best 2of3 or 1of2 or 1of1 on the remaining event points for this ranking list.

  5. Non RCMC members are welcomed to join the events; however, their finishing positions shall be skipped in the assignment of ranking points for RCMC members.

  6. Due to this short notice, non RCMC members shall be given up till the Saturday before the 2nd event to join us as RCMC members. And their points from the 1st event shall be reinstated. Beyond which, only points gained from the events, after they have joined RCMC, shall be valid.

The ranking events shall be:

  • GP on-road series for 8th Scale IC cars and 10th Scale 200mm ISTC at East Coast Track by RCMC. Please contact Sunny for details;
    • February 4th 2007,: COMPLETED
    • April 1st 2007,: CANCELLED
    • June 23rd/24th 2007, (Challenge 2): CONFIRMED
    • August 5th 2007 &
    • October 7th 2007.

    Total points gained from this first 2 events shall be used to rank RCMC members who are interested to join the 2007 FEMCA event in Jakarta Twin Circuit on May 25th, 26th & 27th 2007 (if any entry quota arise). Hobbyists who are not RCMC members, and who wish to participate at this 2007 FEMCA event ... eh.. I think you know what you need to do.

  • GP off-road series for 8th Scale GP Buggy @ Turf City by iRacingWerkz. Please contact Pegan or Leng for details.;
    • March 2007,: CANCELLED
    • April 21st/22nd 2007, (Challenge 1): COMPLETED
    • 20th May 2007: CONFIRMED
    • June 2007,
    • July 2007 &
    • August 2007

    This year's 2007 FEMCA event is scheduled to be sometime in October 2007 at Pattaya in Thailand. Depending on the situation, the club will either use the partial or full rank list if any entry quota arise.
